How are AIM different than OER?

The Affordable Instructional Materials Initiative strives to reduce the cost of instructional materials for GCSC students. To be considered an AIM course, the total cost of materials will be less than $60. Many AIM courses offer instructional materials that are available at no cost to the students either by using OER or library resources. Library resources reduce student costs but are not free or openly licensed.
